Why four figures changes the read
Instagram shortens counts once they pass a thousand: 1,240 becomes “1,240” on some screens and the familiar “1.2K” on others, and that little K carries weight. Visitors see a K and assume an audience. Brands scanning for small creators often filter from 1,000 upward. Even friends react differently when the counter rolls over. For a profile sitting somewhere between 400 and 3,000, a thousand more followers is the most visible change a single pack can make.
That’s why 1,000 is marked “Our pick” on the order card. It isn’t a popularity claim; it’s simply the size that fits the widest range of accounts without looking out of place.
The maths of $13.99
$13.99 for 1,000 is 1.4¢ per follower. Compared with buying the same thousand as ten separate 100 packs, you save $25.91. Here are the sizes either side:
| Pack | Price | Per follower |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | $9.99 | 2.0¢ |
| 1,000 | $13.99 | 1.4¢ |
| 2,500 | $22.99 | 0.92¢ |
Paying with a UK or European card? The dollar price converts automatically at your bank’s rate; the USD guide has worked examples.
Accounts that suit a thousand
- 400 to 3,000 followers today, posting at least weekly.
- Accounts stuck just under 1K that want to clear it.
- Creators pitching to brands who need their numbers to look consistent with their content.
Under 400 followers? Start with 500 and add more later. Already past 5,000? 5,000 keeps pace with the account. And whatever the size, check the ratio of likes to followers afterwards with the engagement calculator; a thousand silent followers lowers the rate a little.
How 1,000 followers are paced
| After payment | What you’ll typically see |
|---|---|
| Within minutes | First batch visible |
| Three to ten hours | Usually complete |
| Up to 30 days | Drops topped up free |
The thousand doesn’t arrive in one burst. Batches land through the day so the count climbs the way it would after a good week. Leave the profile public and keep the username until it completes.
The fine print, in plain words
These are followers for the number on your profile. They aren’t targeted, they don’t interact, and they don’t come from a particular country. Some fall-off over the next few weeks is normal because Instagram removes accounts it doesn’t trust; inside 30 days we top it up free. Instagram’s terms don’t permit buying followers, so the risk is never zero; it is mostly the risk of losing part of the pack. If you want the longer version, the safety guide and the “real followers” explainer cover it.
